The world's annual consumption is more than 30 million tons, and China's consumption is between 3 million and 5 million tons, which is the largest consumption of steel balls.High-chromium steel balls are produced by medium-frequency electric furnace melting, metal mold or sand casting, so domestic wear-resistant material manufacturers often call them high-chromium alloy cast balls. Steel balls with chromium content ≥10.0% and carbon content between 1.80% and 3.20% are all high-chromium balls. The national standard requires that the hardness of high-chromium balls (HRC) must be ≥58 degrees. Heat treatment and quenching must be used. At present, there are various quenching methods for high chromium balls at home and abroad, such as oil quenching, air quenching, and water solution.
